Though we may try our best to get enough sleep, some of us still fall victim to fatigue. Sara Gottfried and Pedram Shojai discuss the varying reasons being fatigue. How does an unstimulating 8-hour day job followed by an episode of 24 which can turn on the adrenaline affect the quality of our sleep? Our evolutionary ancestors engaged in very different daily cerebral activities than the engagement many of us get at our desks. Our ancestors had to worry about hunting for food and not being hunted themselves. Now we have to worry about whether we have enough to pay the bills this month. How does this shift in engagement create fatigue?
